Good Morning Everyone! A friend of mine (and possibly yours) was wondering how many of the friends on her list are really friends - or are even reading her posts. Then, another friend of mine posted this, such a perfect complement - wherever you are today - my thoughts and best wishes are with you - this morning, here with my coffee on the back porch, breathing the cool fresh rain-washed air with little wafts of the winter jasmine blooming near the step, watching the great sea of cloud roll up from the south, I think of you and take a moment to hold some moment we have shared in my mind (this is why I dont often add to my facebook friends list!) and relive it or see it again, savor the laugh, the look, the light, something we shared, feel this quiet joy and gratitude to have this in my mind and you in my heart (samples! Janie in a shiny blue dress and platforms dancing in the window of Cliffords - Ann laughing and making me do the Snoopy dance to the music from the Charlie Brown Christmas when she and Rick and I met at the Hilton after way too long apart - Lisa swowing me how to drag my fingers through the sand at Neskowin and file my nails - watching a chrysalis break open, and a new butterfly emerge, with Shane, watching Mary enchant a guy at a Halloween party and convince him she was an exotic stranger, in her wig and make-up, when hed actually hung out with her a dozen times at my place or Cliffords - painting Vincents new studio, I think both of us wearing breathing masks and our underwear, where are the pictures? Right here in my noggin - dancing for joy with Jan, climbing into the apple tree, all hung with candle-lit paper Japanese lanterns with Quentin on a summer night when we were children - whistling up the wind with Emily so a snowstorm would make it impossible for me to leave the next day, which it did, watching Peters face the very first time he saw my shop) these are are the jewels I treasure - this is my wealth beyond measure.
