Good Morning Everyone, Its 6am in Seattle, which means its almost time for the team to wake up and get a move on with the day. Yesterday, I was not apart of this because I was several thousand dollars short. After a few hours of sleep, I couldnt take the tossing and turning when I knew I could be on the computer messaging more people. I looked at my phone and had so many texts and missed calls from friends sending me pictures that I made my goal! Truth is, I didnt make goal. My earliest friends since elementary to people I met just a few weeks before school got out helped me, my chapter brothers and chapter alumni held me up, and to truly embrace the meaning of brotherhood, Pi Alphas (brothers that have also done a summer event) that I never have met gave helped me out so I can experience a life changing event. Thank you everyone who shared my message with family, friends, and your organizations. That was so powerful to see so many people care. Whether it was mason or drexel, thank you to each brother and sister who supported me and shared it with so many other of your Fraternity brothers and Sorority sisters. That really is the beauty of greek life. I was so far from my goal, and everyone, came together, because they know important this event is. No one hesitated to help. I dont know how to express what that does to you. Its incredibly moving. Im already pretty emotional as Im typing this, and the journey hasnt even officially begun. Ill be updating everyone as I much as can, because I realize I have the best friends and family out there. Thank you for getting me here. Thank you for donating. Thank you for messaging me and calling me giving me hope and your prayers. I took each message to heart, whether it was three meaningful words or paragraphs of support. Thank you to my mom, dad, and sister for supporting me in everything I do. Thank you for getting me to Seattle and raising me the best man you could. I promise to ride fast, ride strong, and not give up; In loving memory of Jason R. Tirado, Zeta Epsilon 266. Thank you Andre for getting me here. I will keep both of you in my mind and even closer in my heart. I dont mean to be short, as there are so many more people I would like to say thank you to and so many more things I want to say. But, I have to go get ready and join the rest of team for my first day! Thank you everyone for caring so much, loving so endlessly, and supporting me so steadily. I really do have the most amazing friends and family.
