Good Morning Friends! As I drove to work this morning, a dear - TopicsExpress

Good Morning Friends! As I drove to work this morning, a dear friend of mine was on my mind. This friend has a habit of every time you ask him how hes doing, his response is that hes sick, or someone has died, or he hates his job, or his ex-wife has said something to upset him......or some other unhappiness has occurred in his life. I have tried endlessly over the years to remind him how truly blessed he is, but its always something with him. I started thinking about how when I woke up this morning my foot hurt and my hands were stiff, my hair wouldnt cooperate, I went to use the lint brush on my black pants and Darian had not cleaned the cat hair out of it from when she used it last and so I ended up having a mess on my pants to clean off, one of the kids had inevitably borrowed my eyeliner again and not returned it so I had to use some that I do not particularly like, I went into the kitchen to fill my water bottle and the kids have left dirty dishes in the sink instead of washing them after they use them like I have asked them 3,000 times to do (Madisen Webb, Darian Nicole Webb and Chris James), then it was extra cold outside and I had to warm up my car and I was running a little late..... But despite all of these little mishaps this morning, I am going to have a good day. I could be a woman in China who after 18 days still does not know exactly what has happened to her child who was on a Malaysian airplane, I could be a woman in Washington who lost her home in the mudslide and is waiting for news on her brother, sister-in-law and two nieces or I could be a woman in Ethiopia who was raped by seven men and now has AIDS and is caring for a baby with AIDS and doesnt know which one of us will die first. Life is all about choices. Bad things happen to good people every single day. And bad things happen to every single one of us at one time or another. I choose every day to have a good day. Good is a relative term. Life is not about how you look at it...its about what you see. So, my friends, as you sit down to post on Facebook about how you hate winter or your job or your electric bill is too high or maybe that someone you love was just diagnosed with cancer or lost their job, please remember that whether you see the glass as half full or as half empty, thank God that the glass has something in it. God Bless You All and Have a Good Day!
