Good Morning Friends Bon Courage to start the week. Let us pray for all of you to be successful in all your work. A special request to all young friends who are going to school to-day;please take care while you are walking on the road, do not quarrel with friends on petty issues,listen and obey your teachers, do your classwork and homework and above all ,make a home timetable to study. This attitude of self discipline will help you to achieve success. On the national scene, the week is going to be very long. The political pot is already boiling; 1. The increase in bus fare will come into operation to-day. there is a general rise of Rs 2 on each ticket which means that each passenger will have to spend an additional Rs 4 everyday on transport. This amounts to nearly Rs 100 every month. So each passenger travelling by a bus will pay an additional Rs 2. A bus of 60 places can make up to 8 trips a day and if full, it may ferry a maximum of 480 passengers. Let us say, it ferries only 300 passengers daily. Therefore, each bus will earn an increase of at least Rs 600 daily. Let us divide this by 2 ( conductor and driver). This makes Rs 300 for each. If he works for 25 days, it makes an increase of Rs 7500. A conductor or a driver earning ,say Rs 10 000, with 19 % rise in salary will hardly get Rs 12 000. So more than Rs 5 000 is left. Let us say Rs 2 000 is used to pay the increase for the administrative staff. Still another Rs 3000 is left. How can this extra Rs 3000 be explained??????? Vijay Ahku
