Good Morning Friends! Psalms 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. God’s words are pure words. This is a plural. His “words” are pure and this means that every word is pure. It is what is called verbal inspiration. The word of God is absolutely pure without error. It is not just the Word in general. It is the words themselves. The Bible is inerrant; that is it is without error. The Bible was written by verbal inspiration. Matthew 4:4 “But He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Romans 3:1-2 “What advantage then has the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision? Much in every way! Chiefly because to them were committed the oracles (revelation, words, truth) of God.” I believe in the complete [plenary] inspiration of the Bible. II Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness...” II Peter 1:20-21 “...knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.” I have joy, peace, security, contentment, etc… not because of what I think, feel, or have experienced even, but because of what I know from God’s Word. (I John 5:13)
