Good Morning Friends in Christ, It is a beautiful day and the wind is helping more leaves to drop in preparation for a season of rest, one more sign of God being all around us. Todays scripture comes from 2 Timothy 3:16-17, All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. You may say we are in need of some serious teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness and I would agree. Last night I had a conversation with a dear friend about the recent school shootings, trying to figure out what has happened to our society. No one likes to be corrected because society wants us to think we are all winners despite the outcome. I dont believe God has anything against us being winners, but I think being successful is a better term. We can be unsuccessful winners if we are arrogant and boastful; that reeks of pride without acknowledgment to God. Bottom line, we are all in need of the above methods in the pursuit of righteousness. There is not a one of us who is perfect. We should be working together to glorify God and remember it is not all about us, but Him who makes everything possible! Have a blessed Saturday and remember to keep looking up! Pastor Dennis
