Good Morning. In Mark 14:30 Jesus reveals that His knowledge is superior to ours. The word of God said, “And Jesus faith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.” Sometimes when you examine the circumstance surrounding this statement we have to wonder why Peter found it so difficult to accept the perfect knowledge of Jesus. Why did Peter find it so difficult to trust Jesus? For some strange reason, Peter had an inflated view of his love for Jesus which did not reflect the true condition of his heart. It is so interesting how we can allow our inflated egos to cause us to question the commands of God. Clearly Peter didn’t understand that He was interacting with the Son of God. This morning God is reminding us that we have the same attitude as Peter. We don’t have a correct picture of the true condition of our heart. This morning the Lord is reminding us to listen carefully to His instruction. We need to ask God to give us the strength to believe His words and not to question Him. I pray that we will continue to trust in the Lord with all our heart and never to lean unto our own understanding. Only as we acknowledge God in all our ways will our arrogance disappear thereby removing any obstacle that will stand in the way of the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.
