Good Morning. Margaret and I were talking about moving last evening, now that our daughters moved out the largest room in the house is empty, also we have a big garden which as I get older is going to prove more of a handful to keep in order, also our house is on 3 floors and the stairs will also be a problem later on, we are planning for our old age, maybe a small bungalow, we shall see, there is no hurry, just thinking about it at this stage. Another cold,cold morning, but our woodburner is keeping the kitchen warm and takes the chill off the downstairs, we got it soon after we moved in and it has proved reliable and functional, a good piece of kit, and we have about 3 cords of wood in the barn so we are set for the winter, which I hope like last year will not last long. We are having pot au feu tonight, Ime cooking it so this morning will be spent preparing the veggies and trimming the meat, we get out meat from a chap who keeps live stock for food, we know the beasts had a happy life and were killed humanely and the meat is exceptional. All quiet in the kitchen this morning, the cats have been fed and are dozing around me, the chickens will have to wait until I get some warm clothes on, I think about the sheep being cold but all we could do is knit them jumpers, and they have there own after all. Time to take Margaret her coffee. Enjoy the day. Richard.
