Good Morning Mississippi! Round number one of the severe weather - TopicsExpress

Good Morning Mississippi! Round number one of the severe weather is in the books, but dont be fooled by the nice start to Tuesday... Round number two is on the way! Well start off the day in the 50s and 60s with some patchy fog but temperatures will rise quickly with mostly sunny skies, back into the 80s by this afternoon. That quick warm up will help to add fuel to the fire this afternoon as another strong cold front pushes across the Magnolia State. We will see similar threats to yesterday, including the heavy rain at times, large hail, damaging winds and strong tornadoes. The worst storms will generally be east of I-55, but severe weather is possible across the entire viewing area. Storms should start to build by the lunchtime hours and become relatively widespread by late in the afternoon/this evening. Just before midnight, most of the viewing community will start to see clearer skies and cooler temperatures and that trend will carry on into the next few days as temperatures drop well below average Wednesday and Thursday. We look to stay dry through the remainder of the 8-Day forecast with temperatures back into the 80s by Sunday! -Brad Maushart WJTV
