Good Morning. While John the Baptist was preaching about - TopicsExpress

Good Morning. While John the Baptist was preaching about repentance he reminded the people of their stewardship responsibility. He said in Luke 3:11 “He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.” How many of us are willing to share half of what we have with those who don’t have? Think about this for a moment. How many pieces of clothing do you have in your closet that you have not worn for a long time and have no intention of wearing? How many people do you know who would make good use of some of these pieces of clothing? This morning the Lord is reminding us that everything we have belongs to Him. Could it be that God allowed you to buy that special dress because He intend to answer the prayer of some women in your community through your act of kindness? Could it be that some little boy in the neighbourhood is in dire need of a pant for church but you have been keeping your son’s clothes in his closet for sentimental reasons? We demonstrate that the Holy Spirit is in control of our lives when we allow Him to direct us to share with those who are in need. If we examine the life of Jesus carefully we will see that He was always sharing the gift of salvation with those who are in need. Everything we need sometimes we consult God in prayer. Look how many times He has answered our prayers and shared with us some of the His wealth. Take some time today to look into your closet and see if there are pieces of clothing that should be in the closet of someone else in your community. Most of us have too much clothes that we continue to keep for sentimental reasons while others are living in tatters. I pray that we will continue to allow God to help us to be effective stewards of the resources that have been placed in our care. If I can help somebody - https://youtube/watch?v=rqVpkwdrPy8 Have a blessed and Holy Spirit-filled day.
