Good Morning dear friends, sisters and brothers alike reflecting the image of our resurrected Savior! It is the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost, and the color is green, symbolizing ordinary time in the life of Christs Church. Today, we hear from St. Matthew, the Eleventh Chapter, Jesus reveals just how fickle Gods people are we played the flute, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge, and you did not mourn indicating in John the Baptists and Jesus preaching Gods presence is not recognized. Later, in this chapter, Jesus teaches come to Me all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest ... My yoke is easy and My burden is light. Jesus knows the journey of a disciple in this world is a most difficult one. The disciple, however, is not alone. Christ is with us, shouldering the burden while we make our way. We celebrate Christs sacred presence in worship: Word and Sacrament .... Come and discover holy bread and wine, the body and blood of our Risen Lord!
