Good Morning heres a WTSA News update: A Queens New York woman has been jailed for alleged drug possession and trafficking in southern Vermont. 30 year old Iyana Figueiredo is being held on 50 thousand dollars bail. Vermont State Police say a motor vehicle stop on interstate 91 north in Brattleboro turned up 10 grams of heroin and 82 grams of crack cocaine. A passenger in the car was also charged, but released until arraignment. A Rindge New Hampshire man has pleaded guilty to federal tax evasion charges. 39 year old Aaron Olson ran an investment business, but was not licensed as an investment broker in New Hampshire or in any other jurisdiction. Federal prosecutors say Olsen used $2.6 million of the investors’ money for his personal benefit and used some of the investors’ money to make fraudulent “earnings” payments to other investors. Olson also filed false tax returns with the IRS. He’s facing up to five years in jail on each of four separate charges, according to the New Hampshire U S attorney’s office in Concord. Brattleboro select board members are expected to continue interviewing town manager candidates today. An 8 am meeting has been scheduled, with an expected executive session on personnel.
