Good Sunday Morning friends! I write this from New Hanover Regional Orthopedic Specialty Hospital (Cape Fear Hospital) in Wilmington, NC, where tomorrow around mid-day Dr. Scott Hannum, who by many accounts is one of the best orthopedists in the state will once again operate on my knee. I have been working and trying to get over this infection that has settled in my knee, Dr. Jeff Barwick has also been wonderful to help me. This will be a big surgery as we have to rid the knee of infection as it is now making me systemically sick. So, dear friends, I humbly ask you pray for me and surgeons, nurses, CRNAS, anesthesiologist and all other staff involved in my care. Pray for my family, pray that my faith will hold... It is hard to face so many challenges and wonder why me?. I have been reading the Bible, in the book of Job. Job lost his family and suffered illness after illness and had some who provided little comfort, but Job stood in his faith and, through the trials, God restored his health and doubled his blessings. The simple answer is this, I do not know why the road I have been traveling is filled with sickness and pain but I AM GODs CHILD!!!!! I love God and I WILL praise HIM in this storm... Thanks for your prayers......Love to All!!
