Good Wednesday Morning. A meatball watch has been issued. Which means stock up on meatballs and a warning may be issued later Thursday or Friday morning which means eat them! First off today. Clouds increase and snow arrives in NJ (mostly south) late afternoon. Be very careful down there. It may be a tricky rush hour down there as I expect 2-4 inches with possible more in heavier bands. Now for the NYC/LI/northern NJ area expect snow showers to come in after dark and mostly tonight that could leave a coating to an inch or two. North of there I expect a few showers that could leave a dusting to maybe an inch (doubtful). Now any shift in the precip will move these amounts so pay attention to that radar (the NEW RPM at 650am shows the heavier snow over NYC with 2-3 inches tonight). Then we dry out for tomorrow and Friday with mostly sunny skies with a high in the 30s. Then things get very interesting for the weekend. Again as we talked about here in this page a coastal storm will develop. That we know. Where it tracks is another question. The models are showing a BIG storm with a lot of moisture. They show a plowable snowfall for most of the region and they mostly agree which is a red flag. When they agree usually they diverge in later runs. Oh and there is another big storm on the models for next week and very cold! Fun times everyone but do not say we didnt warn you. hopefully we cash in for us snow lovers. Have a great day! - Adam
