Good Wednesday Morning FB Family! … THE WORD: “So the servant of the householder came and said unto him; Sir, didst not thou sow good seed on thy field? From whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go gather them up? But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.” Matthew 13:27-30 (KJV) … CONCLUSION: Much of the misery that we see in the world today is caused by hasty, sometimes explosive over-reactions that leads to: broken relationships (Marriages), splits in our churches, shooting massacres, and many other unpleasant situations! A problem presents itself, and then someone facing that problem overreacts to the point that the “overcorrection” is worse that the original problem (Vs. 29)! … The Parable of the Weeds Among the Wheat is Jesus’ way of reminding us not to overreact, but rather to be patient and best trust God for the rest! Have a Great day! … PRAYER: Dear God, thank you for reminding us that there are always weeds among the wheat. We live in an imperfect world that challenges us not to lose our temper or our balance. Help us to look to Jesus as the example of how to live and to love. Help us to respond, and not to react in haste or without knowing the facts. Grant us Lord, patience and wisdom to live as your children. Grant Peace and Solace to all those that are facing tragic moments at this hour in Colorado, Mexico, and Washington DC. And in our own Vineyards! Help them all to get their lives back together and to lean on you for strength. Help us all to extend ourselves to help in any way that we can. Bring Comfort to the bereaved and healing to the injured, Dear Lord. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen. Sis. S. Cooper
