Good afternoon, FB. As I posted on another page, I would like to advocate for enlightened administrations to view courses like the arts, physical education, family and consumer science (or home ec as I used to know it), and others, as balance courses to the STEM, language arts, and history courses that the kids have to work so hard in. This is not to say that the balance courses are chump change, but rather that they offer a much needed balance in the overall academic enterprise. Lets give kids a reprieve from the constant grind of trying to fit ALL disciplines into the same mold! It isnt working!
