Good afternoon FB world. Its 32 hours till Christmas. Heres my Phil Star column from the other Saturday ...a feature on Sibonga, a sleepy ...but heritage and open space-blessed town in Cebu. Note the huge plaza and park, which form the settings for civic activity and foreground to heritage structures of church, market and municipio ...engendering a pride of place and quality of physical space our modern towns and cities now have very little of. Your MMM question of the day - why dont we build public spaces like this anymore? A hectic Christmas season has kept me from catching up with my writing ...a new years resolution I hope to make.
