Good afternoon!!! Gloomy conditions will persist with low visibility around 1 mile today. We will see some short periods of visibility dropping to a half mile throughout the evening. Clouds will linger around 200ft throughout the period as rain showers look to push in later tonight from the southwest. Once rain begins we are looking for persistent off and on rain for the remainder of the night and through tomorrow afternoon where weather gets a little worse. As mentioned earlier we are looking for thunderstorms in the afternoon hours and the potential for 2 inches of rain over a 12hr period. This rain could cause some localized flooding with puddles building up near low lying intersections. With the thunderstorms we are expecting winds to pick up to the 35-40mph gust range as more severe storms remain south of Ft. Bragg and along the Atlantic coast. Our high temp today will be 46F with a low overnight of 42F before jumping up to 66F tomorrow afternoon. We will keep everyone updated as new information comes out for weather in the area. Have a great evening, and safe and happy holidays. -Your Simmons Weather Team bragg.army.mil/www-wx/fcstrfiles/LRF.pdf
