Good afternoon. Sorry if this post comes off as negative, but I have to speak my mind on something that I have been thinking on the past few days. It is quite simply this: American pop culture is garbage. Total 100% garbage. As bad and filled with junk as the processed and GMO foods that we eat here. Offering nothing of value but endless gossip about celebrity and asinine topics. We need a new cultural renaissance, in the arts, in music, in education. Frankly, Im embarrassed at what this nation has become. Honey Boo Boo Child, the Kardashians, TMZ, Duck Dynasty, political scandals, school shootings, police state cops, Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc. This is what happens when every cultural event has corporations involved. Advertising, sponsoring, plastering their logo everywhere. Endless advertising everywhere. Signs, billboards, on the sides of buses... Please, buy more of our worthless SHIT! This country is destined for a fall and I hope whatever rises from its ashes offers more value than the crap we call culture here today. We can all change that by choosing to elevate our culture. Voting with our spending dollars. Voting with our program choices. Not supporting this plastic, bubblegum, circus we have before us today.
