Good afternoon Stage 2 of the Airport Terminal Renovations have continued this week with the bulkheads modified and the installation of the new concertina door between the café and departures lounge, this concertina door will cater for domestic and international security arrangements. The temporary wall will remain in place until the project is complete. More bulkhead modifications are being done in the departures lounge to cater for the installation of the second bi-fold door between lounges 1 and 2, this door will again cater for domestic and international security arrangements. The following week will see the installation of the trellis door near screening and the start of the re-installation of the stained glass mural’s. The painters have also continued this week in the Arrivals and Check-in areas and you can already notice the difference! This week will see the second coat to the bulkheads and finishing off the walls. We appreciate everyone’s patience during these works and hope that everyone is excited as we are to see the final changes completed over the next couple of weeks.
