Good afternoon followers of Fort Dodge Press! As many of you have read, early this morning shortly after 2:00am, a house in Barnum caught fire and destroyed the entire home. Judy Ford, the owner of the residence, lost all of her belongings as well as her three cats. It is our hope that this holiday season you find a place in your heart to donate financially or offer assistance of any kind to Ms. Ford. A Go Fund Me page was started by a friend of Ms. Ford to raise money for her. According to the page, Ms. Ford is unable to work due to a back disability, and the home was not insured. The American Red Cross graciously reached out to Ms. Ford as well and has offered their assistance. According to an email Fort Dodge Press received, following the holiday, they will be providing her with assistance to help her get back on her feet.
