Good article in the Detroit Free Press this morning in regards to the 2015 mandated changes in healthcare. The affordable care act is ending which means changes for businesses. I expect to see employers dropping healthcare coverage for employees at the end of 2015, drastically changing coverage, or having employees pay a larger chunk of the premiums. In some cases, paying the fines is going to be the only answer for some businesses, as they wont be able to afford the cost of covering their employees anymore. If you havent visited the exchange site you may want to. If your employer no longer offers coverage you will want to know what you are looking at to purchase a government mandated policy.......it takes a few things into consideration, but mostly hoe much you make. While this makes sense, I dont think anyone realizes how much it will cost to get a crappy policy if you make average wage.
