Your donations will be accounted for and I will provide regular reports on the evacuation and temporary shelters. I will personally see through the distribution of your donation to the municipalities. I am facilitating the distribution of SOLAR BULBS and WATER PURIFIERS to the villages that will be identified by the Balay Mindanaw reports via Ayi Hernandez. One solar bulb costs Php 290 and will give ample illumination to temporary shelters for them to go about their activities at night. A 4-5 hours charging time during day time can give them 8 hours of light at night. The bulb is rainproof and durable. A water purifier which doesnt need any power supply is a sustainable solution to the lack of potable water in the planned temporary shelters. Water is available onsite. It can service a family of five or more with a flow rate of 9 liters per hour. It removes 99.9999% of bacteria, 99.99% of viruses, 99.9% of protozoan cysts. Passed US standards for potable water. Need more convincing? I DRANK STANDING CANAL WATER WITH COCKROACH SHELLS AND WHAT-NOTS PURIFIED BY THIS EQUIPMENT during the CDO, Iligan relief operations. Im still standing, alive and well. A pack for a family is Php 3,600. A community model of this has 4 nozzles and is Php 36,000, enough for 500 families. Both solar bulb and water purifier were offered by suppliers at a 50% discount as their contribution. As of now, Enfinity has greatly helped in securing the supply of solar bulbs and partnering with Air21 on the logistics of the donations. Sasonbi and Solutions Using Renewable Energy Inc. (SURE) has also come on-board in facilitating the supplies at no profit. SURE will also be donating USD 5,000 worth of products. One Million Lights is also facilitating the funding of the solar bulbs. We welcome others who wish to help us. Your donations will greatly complement the other donations of food, temporary shelter and other aids from other organizations. Please send in your pledges as I arrange for a venue to pool your cash donations. Please send in you email addresses via PM so I can report and account your contributions. Please ask your friends to help us too. More reports to come in the next few days.
