Good day all. A beautiful Sunday here, which is fortunate for me as this year a roadside Sycamore tree has had a bountiful harvest of seeds which have literally deposited themselves everywhere, and in every conceivable crevasse, including drains, guttering and of course across every surface to the front and rear of my property. The seeds are a major problem as the Sycamore is adept at growing from anything, be it the roof or even from a wall. I`ve asked the local authority to either remove the tree or prune it, but apparently as it is in a conservation area, they cannot accede to my requests, and budgetary restraints do not have the funding available to prune it. Last year a branch fell from the tree into my hedge, so I guess until someone is killed or injured nothing will be done. I`ll try again with the authority, and if necessary I`ll have to look at the legal options available to me. I do love trees a great deal, I can feel their energy and I have a great respect for them so it saddens me that this tree has become a major problem. Yesterday I spent a few hours clearing up the seeds from the tree at the front, and now I`ll be spending a few hours clearing up the seeds from the rear..
