Good day at the UKCC level 3 course at Solihull today. I was just there being a guinea pig for the coaches who are training. Took Emilio, Liffy and Eliie. All horses went well and had some interesting and useful sessions with the coaches. I still cant believe the change in one particular horse. Anyone who has ever had anything to do with Liffy will understand exactly how exciting it is that he was on the lorry all day without going out in the field first, he was as good as gold to swap the horses around and didnt try and knock me out or tread on me while I was tacking him up. Didnt have to tell him off at all. There were 2 lessons going on in the indoor school at the same time and lots of people as well as other horses in the other indoor school that he could sometimes see. Through the whole session he was focussed, listening to me and just generally a pleasure to deal with. Following that we got home, changed his rugs etc and he went straight into his stable to eat his tea while we cleared the lorry out and finished off the yard. Previously we wouldve had to turn him out again as he wouldve been so stressy in his stable. He really is like a completely different horse. It has made life for everyone who has to deal with him so much easier. Its like having a different horse! Even Jin said so when she came to do his back. I really cannot get over the difference that EquiFeast Cool,Calm and Collected and Magnesium has made to him. Cant wait for their yard visit in January to see if we can also improve the girls focus and way of going with some their products. None of them has quite such a problem as Liffy but it will be all the little improvements that gain us a few extra marks in the dressage or keep their focus in the jumping to get those double clears.
