Good day, eh My name is Brian Rober. Im 38 and currently residing in Tampa, Fl. I suffer from mental illness. It sucks. I started treatment 6 years ago when my marriage was put in jeopardy by my illness. I was given an evaluation, and I was sickened by the results. I am Bipolar type 1, schizoaffective Disorder, avoidant Personality disorder with paranoid features, psychotic, OCD, depression, boarder line personality disorder, PTSD, and a partridge in a bucket. My wife and I made this page to try and help educate people about mental illness. This also provides an outlet for those of us who suffer from mental illness. We encourage those who stand with us to tell your story. Share how you deal with an individual with mental illness. What do you do to cope? We encourage you to post reviews on doctors, meds, literature, or news related to mental illness. Feel free to promote your doctor or how you cope. Talk about the techniques you use to deal with your illness. Part of mental illness is the feeling of being alone. Like no one understands what youre going through. We want you to know that youre not alone. There are so many that feel what you are feeling. Friends and families have support here as well. Post your support. Spread the word. Mental illness needs to be further understood. We believe the best way gain understanding is to have the ones who suffer from mental illness tell it like it is.
