Good day fellow MOTH’s An idea has been brewing in my mind for the last couple of days – As we all know 11 November is the big day on our calendar. Since it’s the centenary year of the start of WW1, I was thinking that on 11 November this year, instead of shell holes having their own services, we all get together at the major centres for the parade. For example if we can get all the MOTH’s in the Jhb area to attend the parade in Jhb at the cenotaph. I have no idea how many Moths are in the area, but wouldn’t it look impressive if we had say 1000 MOTH’s all dressed up with our bling doing a march at the cenotaph? Secondly it would be a great marketing tool for our order to gain more membership. All the newspapers should be invited – the major ones as well as local newspapers. If this could be done countrywide it would be very impressive. Anyway, just an idea, maybe this needs to be discussed at shell hole and regional levels as well. Maybe the powers that be could think about it.
