Good evening, A fine evening to come across the UK with plenty of sunny spells, although there will be variable cloud cover at times along with a fresh NW’ly breeze. One or two rogue showers may develop across eastern England, however, most places will remain dry. The cloud will tend to thicken across western Scotland & NI as frontal system’s edge in from the west. Overnight the fronts will bring spells of rain across parts of western Scotland with some moderate bursts possible, especially over higher routes. Elsewhere across Scotland, NI and northernmost parts of England, conditions will remain generally cloudy with some light rain and drizzle possible at times. Across the remainder of England and Wales, conditions will remain dry with clear spells across central and southern areas. Temperatures underneath the cloud cover in the north will range from 8°c - 12°c, further south underneath clearer conditions, temperatures will be much colder, ranging from 5°c - 7°c, although in rural areas we could get as low as 2°c Tomorrow in brief: Across the northern half of the country, conditions will start off dull and grey with light rain and drizzle in some areas, especially across western Scotland, with some moderate rainfall possible here. Across the southern half of the UK, conditions will be drier and brighter with sunny spells at times, particularly across southern England. During the afternoon the cloudy conditions will edge further south, bringing cloud cover across much of the country, although it will remain generally dry in the south. Elsewhere further bouts of light rain and drizzle will be possible, although the main risk areas will be across the west, with some eastern areas possibly remaining dry.
