Good evening! Tonight looks to be a fairly warm night with lows in the low to mid 60s across the Tri-State. Thursday, showers and thunderstorms return to the forecast in a scattered fashion by late afternoon. Highs on Thursday will be in the mid to upper 80s across the Tri-State.The main focus for storms will be Thursday night ahead of an approaching powerful cold front. Thunderstorms are more than likely. The Storm Prediction Center does have the western half of the Tri-State in a slight risk for severe weather for Thursday evening into the overnight hours. This does include the Evansville Metro area as well. At this time, the primary severe weather threat will be strong damaging winds and possibly some hail should any storms become severe. Heavy rain will be a concern as well. An isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled completely out. The passage of the cold front will bring with it the coldest air of the season so far. Details are in the 7 day outlook in your updated video forecast.
