Good evening Wild Women of the West ladies...it is parade time - TopicsExpress

Good evening Wild Women of the West ladies...it is parade time again! We voted on, and put in the application for the Queen Creek Christmas parade. It has been accepted. The parade route is ¾ of a mile long. Staging will be located south of Ocotillo & Ellsworth Road Intersection near the Serrano’s restaurant. The parade will go north on Ellsworth Road turning left onto Heritage Lane and heading west ending at the Queen Creek Library. The judges’ stand will be located east of the Queen Creek Library on Ellsworth Road. Equestrian entries will check-in and stage at the Corner of Ellsworth Rd and Crewse Ln. Equestrian Trailers are requested to park off the Ellsworth Loop Road across the street from the Queen Creek Post office. Please turn east at the Post office traffic light located due south of the Quik Trip. Equestrians are asked to park their vehicle and trailers at the lot located across the street from the Queen Creek Post office. The lot is directly next to the Queen Creek Wash and due west of the Queen Creek Town Municipal buildings. From the end of the parade, Equestrians can return to their vehicles by riding south on Ellsworth Road once the parade has concluded. Beginning at 7am, Ellsworth Road will be closed from Ocotillo to Sierra Park Roads for all traffic except the parade floats and parade participants. Road will close for all traffic at 9am. Parade starts at 10:00am. I will be bringing gold garland to wrap around your breastplates in keeping with our club colors, and the parades theme. If you do not ride with a breastplate, you can just loop it around your horses neck like a breastplate. I do not have any banner carriers, so I will be carrying the flag up front with me (as your trailboss). I have no plans to go anywhere afterward to eat, but if everyone wants to bring something, we can all have a quick bite together back at the trailers. As a reminder, the December meeting will take place at the Christmas party, which will be Saturday evening, Dec 14, at 6pm at the Circle C Stables in Apache Junction (circlecstables). Bring a gender-neutral gift for the exchange if you plan to participate, bring a dish (it is a pot luck), and dress warm, as it will be held outside in the old west town that is there. There are electric outlets, and a food shack to handle crock-pots and anything else requiring electricity. Remember that elections for 2014 offices also take place at this meeting, so come and exercise your vote! Your leadership is who YOU vote in. If you have ANY questions about the Queen Creek parade this coming Saturday (Dec 7), or the Christmas party/Dec meeting. please do not hesitate to call or text me. I will be making the call for the parade come Wednesday Dec 4, as your trailboss, and I would like to get a confirmed headcount as to who will be riding in the parade at that time. Happy Trails!
