Good evening all :-) What a fabulous run of some absolutely outstanding, truly stunning, totally breath taking and incredibly exciting wildlife action we have all been so privileged to have witnessed recently, in the vast sheltered and rich waters of Falmouth Bay ... :-) Having been so privileged in my career, to have worked as a Captain and wildlife guide, travelling throughout both hemispheres. I feel justifiably qualified to share this with you all and say ... That some of these recent and spectacular events that we are recording, posting up and sharing with you all, here in Falmouth Bay, Cornwall Have been undoubtably some of the most exciting that I have ever witness and observed, in my thirty six years in the field :-)... :-) Giving my age away there ,,,, ooops :-) haha :-) ... Yes, I am going grey with a smile ,,, distinguished they say .... I digress :-) The true joy of it all :-) has been the sheer vastness of these monumental, marine Work Ups recently ... Acres of baitfish being consumed by so many different species ... Makes one just gulp in awe at the volume of food that has been available in the Bay ... The sheer numbers of birds alone feeding, gorging on this vastness. Quite incredible . Then add into the mix, all the different fishes, all eating each other and then finally the large marine mega fauna and Apex Predators coming into to feed on it all !!! All in all, quite staggering to comprehend, the sheer volume and tonnage of baitfish that must be in the Bay .... WOW !!! I hope that all the photographs and videos we have been posting up are giving you all, some indication of what has been unfolding before our very eyes .... :-) More photos and videos are going to be posted up soon, for you all to enjoy ... The true beauty of nature and wildlife ... Is you never really know what you will see, thats why its so exciting These recent events offshore have been absolutely spectacular to witness and observe .... Equalling some of the very best Whale and Dolphin encounters I have every witnessed, anywhere in the World ... Four different species of cetacean is fabulous on given give excursion offshore ... However, when you consider ... In any four hour cruises . We only spend a small percentage of our time offshore .. As we always like to take some time, locating and observing all the fantastic wildlife we see along the coastline .. So when you consider that in just three short hours offshore over two days .. We have recorded some thirteen Minke Whales, the incredible Offshore pod consisting of some forty + or - Bottlenose Dolphins, the vast numbers of Common Dolphins, all the Harbour Porpoise and those dynamic, stunningly beautiful Blue Sharks we have seen feeding together in this super productive area in Falmouth Bay .... Well it has truly been one of my very best and most memorable wildlife encounters of all time ..... Made all the more marvellous because it was all here in Cornwall :-) Have fun looking through all the videos and photographs everyone ...
