*Good morning- lots of questions due to us being closed yesterday!* 1. has anyone used a light project in bubs room as a self soothing aid? If so do you think it helped bubs get off to sleep ok? 2. Im on day 2 of introducing a dummy to my 3 month old. Although so far Im not sure this is a solution for us in helping her get off to sleep. Bub loves the dummy, so much so it seems she keeps herself awake to suck it. So then obviously once she spits it out, she looses her mind! But she just wont fall asleep with it. I am well aware of the potential weaning problems down the track, and the potential of replacing the dummy during sleep times. My aim was to use it only for day time naps to help her actually sleep during the day (night time is far better than day). I guess I just didnt expect the dummy troubles to have started so soon to the point where she wont even sleep while introducing it! Do they eventually learn to fall asleep with it, or should I take this an indication its not going to work? TIA everyone 3. Gumdrop VS Jollypop? Im.having a hard time deciding which to try with my 4 & 1/2 MO who so far wont take a dummy. 4. I have a 6 week old baby, BF, i am going away next month for a whole day/night event n not taking her with me. This is my first time breast feeding so dont know how i go about expressing n what i do on the actuall day i will be away from her, as i cant express on the day as its a wine tour event? 5. Our wedding anniversary is coming up & for various reasons we cant leave our bub at home. Just wondering if people have any different date night ideas that can be done at home- something special/different from what we might usually do! Thanks 6. My 4 mth old wont sleep more than 40mins in the day and 2-3 hours at night. He is self settling himself day & night (no sleep aids), so I feel like Ive won half the battle, however his short sleeps are exhausting. He has 4 day sleeps of 40 mins each, goes to bed by 7pm, but wakes for a feed by about 10.30, then every couple of hours. Can anyone recommend any techniques , or good references... Not sure if I need sleep school as hes mastered self settling so maybe something else?? Thanks 7. Hi, just wondering if porridge is an ok food for bubs first try or does it need to be a puree? Due to my daughters slow weight gain ive been told to try her on solids, shes just turned 4months and im not sure the best thing to start with asnd I thought I could give her the last bit of my porridge in the morning to see how she goes? Also, do i only giver her food once a day and does it need to be in the mornings? TIA 8. Hi dd is 8 months and wanting to know differences, experiences re gymbaroo vs kindagym
