Good morning Daddy, H/S!!! Morning everyone!!! Lets go out n give Him thanks today for keeping us. Im gonna talk about-DO NOT REPAY EVIL FOR EVIL: When we find ourselves being criticised, insulted or unjustly treated it is tempting to react instinctively n return like for like. (Genesis 27:1-29). Isaacs command to Esau was a deliberate attempt to cheat Jacob out of the birthright which was his by divine decree (25:23) n human agreement (25:33). Isaacs plan presented Rebekah with a crisis. Once the blessing had been bestowed it could not be withdrawn (33,35,37) n Jacob would be permanently deprived of the birthright. And so Rebekah counteracted with her own duplicitous scheme, despite being aware of Gods original decree. Her impulsive actions revealed her lack of faith in Gods ability to implement His will in His time n His way. When our interests r threatened, we too can display a similar lack of faith in God. In the heat of the moment we give as good as we get n forget our Father in heaven who continually watches over us (Ps 121) n knows our every need (Matt 6:8). As Christians we r to adopt a radically different response. When wronged we r not to resort to a mentality which doubts Gods omnipotent, righteous n loving character. Instead we r to trust God to redress our injuries (Rom 12:19). LORD, I FEEL ANGRY N HELPLESS IN THE FACE OF INJUSTICE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PROMISE TO RIGHT ALL WRONGS. Be blessed. DI-WOMAN OF GRACE. w
