Good morning FB friends: UPDATE: Nicole is here at home with me again. She is still in quite a bit of pain re: swollen bladder, kidneys, and gall bladder. She has a full time catheter as she is still not able to void on her own. The one thing that is a bit better are the horrible, horrible spasms. She awaiting a call from the Urologist as to what they are doing next. The amount of prescriptions she is now on would probably kill a normal human being.......... She is still having many little seizures daily BUT so far through the Grace of God no biggy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have called Halifax and she is still on the critical acceptance list for her specialist!!!!!!!!!!!!! With only 3 beds for the Maritime Provinces; it is going to take a Miracle to get her there before her life/continued damage............................ SHE IS TRULY THE PERSON I HAVE ADMIRED MOST ALL THESE YEARS: battling so many medical issues since the day she was adopted: 16 months old and weighted only 17 pounds. Have found the pictures of her upon the first couple of days in our home............. She came with a big bottle of penicillin (very large) and has had many issues throughout her life because of the severe abuse incurred with the natural parents............. Folks, I really do not know where she gets her courage to put one foot in front of the other: She loves life, is prayerful with a strong belief in God and is so forgiving of others..... This is the true example of what we should all be and many of US seem to forget how lucky we are with what we have. She is always so thankful. He way of remembering my mother....... Of course the boys were with us for this big event and are so very proud of her.
