Good morning FBased family. As you may know, weve lost a love one - TopicsExpress

Good morning FBased family. As you may know, weve lost a love one and member of the faith based family, Rev Roosevelt Williams Jr. He is already missed. He will be remembered for his often humorous, but; always direct approach in his delivery of the word. When I asked Roosevelt to be a part of Purpose Based on Faith he never questioned; why I felt I should be doing this. He did say, you know you gon have people talking crazy cause you still talk to them blues folks. And you gon have some people who not gon agree with what we teaching. I told him, Im not concern with what people think they know about me or what they think they know about my life or what i do, since; Ive always been a loner, so much of what people say, is assumption on what it looked like I was doing. He was excited to be a part of this and often mentioned how much he looked forward to the Monday segments, so much that we would sometime have Thursdays segment just for him. You know know, he was right in his comment, that; people would have issues with my interviews with the secular set and doing the spiritual segments. Today, I have to mention this, because it bothers me a little. [not much. nothing bothers me for long but i do feel as though i should mention this ] In the beginning I asked someone whom Ive know for years to be apart of the show as well. The persons past is in the past, so I wont speak on it, however; when I asked; the answer shocked me. The person as many others, think they know what ive done in my past. I say think, because most of what others say, is hear say or what they think they see. I asked this person because he/she is now a Pastor. I spoke with my brother whom is also a Pastor, and received a word I could take comfort in. I have had others tell me that what I do with the Blues or other artists, I should not being doing if I am suppose to be a Christian. (although, MOST have NOT listened to hear what we discuss) This brings me to my morning thought or questions: Why is it inconceivable to you, that; those who sing secular music can also have a relationship with God? Is that being judgemental? What kind of Christian would I be if I were not kind to all? Now, Im wondering if you will be honest enough to answer this question: When you watch Bishop T.D. Jakes on Tv (new show; Mind Body & Soul) interviewing the secular set (artists, actors, etc..) Do you think the same of him way you thought of me? Or do you feel that way, because its ME...and you THINK you know me? Ir you think God can love or forgive him and not me? Or is it, God told him to do it because hes a clergyman and I am not? (Ive heard that too) Its a valid question: wouldnt you say? My point is...Should Christians and especially clergymen/women ever discourage anyone from spreading the word of God? I did have a chance to tell Roosevelt that I respected his position in the ministry. There are some words which should never go unspoken. Feel free to respond... Matthew 28:19 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
