Good morning Facebook friends and family. After yesterdays post I went home and reflected on the day. Much to my surprise I did, in fact, mis-speak yesterday. I reviewed all the times in my life when I was down, hurting, wanting it all to fade to black and I discovered a miraculous thing. Every time, not some or most, but every time I was down, there was someone who picked me up. I tell you friends it was an emotional moment for me. I am truly blessed. So in todays post I would like to say two things. First, to all those in my life that deemed me worthy of caring, thank you. Thank you for sharing love and compassion to a person that has for so long not realized what he had right in front of him. My blind eyes now see. And I find the seeing most wonderful. Second I want all of you to think back to a dark and foreboding day in your life when it seemed the universe hated you and was trying to destroy you, when harsh word or sentiment injured you, a low time of heart and spirit, and remember the ones that rallied to your side. Some time soon seek them out and thank them. Thank them for taking the time to put aside their problems to focus on yours. My friends this is a mighty gift and not one to be ignored or passed. We are all traveling this journey of life. We should enjoy the moment. Every second we breath is a blessing, we should rejoice each time our eyes open on a new day. The choice is before you, choose to be depressed and you will, choose to rejoice and your heart will sing. If in your revelry you see a fellow human suffering, Help them, there is no greater gift you can give than a gift of kindness. Have a wonderful day friends, you guys are awesome.
