Good morning Friday. We are creatures of opposites. We cry when were happy. We celebrate death with a musical affirmation of life. And we sit in coffee shops wearing false happy faces when the sadness inside is almost too much to bear. Romeo was in the corner. The furthest corner he could find away from the rest of the world. Alone. The box on the wall felt the heaviness in his heart. A soft, lonely blues sax gave it a voice. Yesterdays harsh words stung like a dagger. Roared through his memory like a Harley on heat. His cappuccino sat untouched, unloved. They played the shouting game, closely followed by the crying game. They tore their hearts apart and went their separate ways. It was only an argument. A stupid damned argument. Behind the counter, Little Italy watched on as another romance hit the brakes and threatened to bite the dust. A small blush of anger touched her cheek. Not here, dammit, she thought. Not them. Not on my watch. She threw a steely gaze at the box on the wall. The box sent out feelers and changed the music. The door opened. Juliet stood framed against the outside world, looking at her man. Lionel began his song. Hello...is it me youre looking for. I can see it in your eyes. I can see it in your smile.
