Good morning. I am very excited about this upcoming week. I want to thank everyone who has watched my video. The emphasis on this book is that it is a galley copy. A galley copy was how newly freed slaves obtained needed resources, representation, and reserves in order to make a life for themselves here in this country post civil war. Their lack of access to proper editing and finishing equipment for publishing was the foundation on the distribution of such copies. Galley copies was the evidence that showed that freedom was the optimal element that would make way for the American former slave to voice his experience. Did you know that the mind can read words correctly that are spelled incorrectly? That safeguard is derived from literacy. So, let not your present circumstance dictate for you the path you take. This holiday season give thanks for literacy for so many of us do not appreciate its relevance in our lives.
