Good morning, I have been holding my tongue but I cant no longer. ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a disorder that affects the function of nerves and muscles. According to the ALS Care Database its a rare Disease. 60% that get it is men and 93% are Caucasian. I dont have a problem with funding ALS because it a terrible disease and more research should be done to eradicate it. BUT ITS RARE! Its not about to bring the UNITED STATES down to its proverbial knees. I see alot of ppl doing the ALS bucket challenge but DO YOU KNOW ONE PERSON WITH IT? Did you even know what kind of disease it is? Smh only my ppl It is a needless health campaign when there is health emergency like The 2014 EBOLA outbreak. Or The victims of police brutality: Michael Brown, Ferguson, Eric Garner, John Crawford, Ezell Ford, Donte Parker, Trayvon Martin, and the many others that was way before our time. Im so disappointed in celebrities, social media, and my uneducated African Americans. A collective voice, collective compassion, collective action, collective consciousness are a Revolutionary, but when the mind is distracted, it is not engaged. NOW WHO GONNA DO A CHALLENGE TO STOP POLICE BRUTALITY OR TO HELP OUR PPL IN AFRICA WHO IS BEING TAKEN OUT BY EBOLA. ILL APOLOGIZE NOW CAUSE I WONT LATER. GOOD DAY!
