Good morning. Share lang muna ako. Para din sa mga di pa nakakaenrol. XD Devotion (November 6, 2013) Romans 4:20-21, Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. Rhema: A promise is a declaration assuring that one will or will not do something. It is something that we should keep. Just like a commitment, it is something we should do, we will fulfill and do it the way we say it. When things go unfavorable or uncomfortable for you, what happens to your faith? Do you waver or do you stand firm? For it is easy to say that we have faith in God but the quality of faith is determined by testings in life. Abraham never gave up on holding on and having faith in God even things gets illogical. Our faith strengthens us and it should make us glorify God. If we are truly persuaded that God will do what He said He will do, we will never waver but we will be firm in our faith. God is faithful to His promise and trials in life do not determine His faithfulness in us, but those trials are the tools He use to see the quality of our faith in Him. Reflection: We all face situations in life that seems impossible. Life sometimes push us hard. But what we need to do is push back harder using our faith to strengthen us and Gods promise to motivate us. The toughest battles in life are given to the strongest people. You may not see the purpose of a certain problem/challenge in your life but someday itll make sense. In life, sometimes we win, and sometimes we lose, thats why we need Jesus; we need a Savior. We need someone who will help us to do what we cant do. For there are things in life that is beyond our ability or beyond our control. Thats when faith takes place. Faith is being sure of the things we hope for and of the things we do not see. But, what do you hope for? What do you want to see? You know, without expectation to God, we will never be passionate. God always leave a promise to everyone so that they will expect and they will trust Him enough that He will fulfill it. What do we need to do while waiting for Gods promise to happen? 1. Do not waver. --> Whatever He said, He will do it. Trust His Word. 2. Strengthen yourself through faith. --> Strengthen yourself by connecting to Christ, to cell, and to the church. --> Discipline your faith by doing more what is right and doing less what is wrong. --> Always practice to say positive words and think positive thoughts. 3. Give glory to God. --> For better or for worse, you have to love God with all your heart, mind, body and soul. Motivation: Let your love for God fuel you to be passionate for Him. If you lack love, seek Him. Pray for it. Your hardships are part of your life. Let it be an inspiration to other people. Hold on to His promises. Problems are temporary. But His love is eternal. Application: Trust His promises and encourage 10 people today. Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank you for your promises. Help me and teach me to trust you even when things get uncomfortable or unfavorable for me. Today, I allow You to take over my life and rule over me. I ask in Jesus name that whatever promise You have for me, my family, my studies and my future family, let it happen according to your will. I pray that theses promises draw me closer to you. In Jesus name, amen. ~Cross
