Good morning Team B. Balis had a difficult night, not as bad as - TopicsExpress

Good morning Team B. Balis had a difficult night, not as bad as the night prior though. For the first time in 17 days Balis got a bottle!! And.....he sucked it down. Hes also been taken off his fentanyl drip completely. They are fighting off his withdrawals with a steady staggered dose of methadone and adovan. Sarah was able to get sleep last night because I took nightly duties. They will be removing the catheter from his neck today also. Hes completely off of oxygen now as well. There was a time when the supervising Dr on the floor told us Balis was his sickest patient. That was in the midst of Balis losing his two neighbors. He has come so far and fought so hard. We are so proud of him. Thats not enough....We are so very proud of our big fine boy!! Friends, we know youre all proud also and we thank you for helping B and us through this time. Obviously hes still in the ICU and he still has a journey ahead of him but we couldnt contain our excitement and had to do the happy jig here a little bit. We are still overwhelmed by all of your love and support. Keep them coming please. #teambalis #balisloveshisbobba #roadtorecovery
