Good morning!!! We all talk about the changes that we would like to see in our animal welfare laws. This is our opportunity to come together for positive change - THIS IS PERSONAL! This is our chance to talk with legislators up close and personal about our animal welfare issues in Wilson county. Humane Lobby Day is happening throughout the state in nearly all counties... for those of us in Wilson - Lets take this opportunity and ALL come together to show we all care about our animals and that we want positive change. The location for Wilson County will be the Wilson County Community College. The meet and greet will start at 1pm April 4th at the Frank Eagles Community Business Center. It will last about an hour. We will be inviting the Sherriff, the candidates for sheriff, the Mayor, county commissioners, the Senator and other important officials. Please get your questions ready. Lets be prepared to speak with them about what matters most to us!! Please register early in the link provided below. Seating is limited. Please read below for more details. If you dont live in Wilson County, please register for your county!! Every voice in every county is important! It is time again for Humane Lobby Day but this year will be a bit different. Like last year we will hold an “In District Lobby Day” so that animal advocates can meet with legislators in their home district. The new twist is that In District Lobby Day will be held before the primaries and before session begins! This provides an opportunity for you to talk with candidates and show legislators just how important regulations for commercial dog breeders will be to the animal advocate community this session. Please gather up friends and family that would like to speak for the animals and join us on April 4th in your home district where you will meet up with other animal advocates and provide a voice for the animals. Legislators will also be interested in local issues! This is a good time to talk about what is happening for animals in your community.
