Good morning Weather Watchers- Thunderstorms developed around - TopicsExpress

Good morning Weather Watchers- Thunderstorms developed around midnight and moved E and then South- here is the radar image from around 3:45am and the second image is the current radar image 5:15am. Models showed rainfall developing further West affecting more of the I-135 corridor...they were off by around 75-100 miles East as the trekked over the same area as they did the previous night. Fog has developed in many areas from Central KS- North and West- see the map, areas of Gray depict Dense Fog Advisories. On to the chances for a wet weekend....Am seeing models split on their solutions shunting moisture just to our South as a cold front approaches- a forecast we discussed earlier in the week. We should be able to nail the track of this Vorticity/moisture down later today. Not totally changing our forecast yet but just be aware rainfall totals could be decreased if this plays out. Still seeing a nice cool down Sun-Wed including rain chances Tue-Wed, with another STRONG cold front possible for late next week or early next weekend- see last image of jet stream digging a trough to South and West of our area which is usually an good indication of a storm moving in. We will provide updates trying to nail down this weekends forecast - stay tuned if you have outdoor weekend plans..
