Good morning all ... I took a day yesterday ... stole it from the poppies ... I know you will understand. So I did what was pressing and took a little time out. I have to say ... I was kinda THRILLED to see all the wonderful pics of the displays around the country ... that was amazing ... so many creative talents. And now a slightly belated thank you to ALL of those wonderful women (and men) who came to visit us at our display in Fed Square to make a poppy with us or ask us to make a poppy for them, or took our information and patterns to share with family and friends. It was a truly beautiful day ... sharing our wonderful project with the world at large ... with lots of fun and laughter. I think we all thought it was an honour just to be part of it, especially when the whole city stopped for a minute in Remembrance. We also managed to sell a few poppies on behalf of the RSL so that was a huge bonus. With apologies to anyone I miss out (note to self ... write stuff down lol). I would like to add a personal thanks to those who are always there to help out when needed .... Kate, Deb, Ing, Janet, Susan, Carol, Judi, Valerie, Nadine, Pennie, Diane, Setsuko, Nari, Margaret, Ursula and all the others from my second Monday of the month poppy making group at Fed Square. Next stop ... Anzac Day 2015 ... cannot wait!!!!!!!!!
