Good morning all! It is raining outside this morning, of which reminded me of this very beautiful song, as someday, I will walk hand-in-hand with thé one I love in it. Of course wé will carry umbrellas!! Sharing an ol true story this morning, do you all know how thé saying, its raining cats & dogs came about? Well, back in ancient England, they did not have running water as to keep mopping up thé floors, so they put thé cats & dogs outside when it rained as to stop them from tracking in mud. Heat rises, therefore thé cats & dogs would find their way on thé roof tops of thèse ol adobe huts as to keep warm from thé fires that were going on in thé hut. À large gust of rain would knock them off of thé roof, and thé résidents of thé hut would watch thé cats & dogs fall off of thé roof through their windows, and one person said, its raining cats & dogs! Then several people started saying that all over ancient England as thé saying took off like wildfire!! I thought I would share this non-fiction story with you all today just in case any of you have ever wondered how, and where that saying came about.
