Good morning all! Marianne here ;) I have been wanting to say something that my doctor told me during an office visit 2 years ago when I had lost 35 pounds on this diet, Ive really wanted to share this from way back then but I very much love this eating plan. And as we all know it totally works. After he had explained to me why he said what he said I came home and did my own research, then, I tried his way with this, at the time I was on C1 for the second time around. I kept what he said to myself because I felt I would sound like I was questioning Dr Mike Moreno plan. I was more then pleased with j y results. Then, I stayed off of this diet for 2 years once Ive reached my goal. I then had spine surgery 12 months ago and of course was inactive for a long time in recovery plus the months prior due to pain for the reasons Tha I needed the surgery. Which brings me to today.....clearly I love what Dr Mike has done with this diet and I know it works and its very do able. I found that even on a holiday or a get together its easy enough to stay on track and still enjoy. For me, I love colorful foods! If my meal looks pretty I usually enjoy it. Okay, so after reviewing my Dr Steve said to me....this is a good eating plan but the lack of carbs in the start is not as good as it sounds. He said I need some carbs for energy to keep going. He showed me this in books he took off the shelf in his office and he had a machine that he put on my finger and it made all squiggly lines showing what vitamins I lacked .When I got back to planning my meals I really didnt change much at all, I just added a carb like once or twice a day.I always used smart choices while doing this. So Yesterday with being a holiday I didnt have any party here so was easily able to keep on track with my meal menus as Ive shown on here. But what I didnt show was a whole wheat everything bagel thin with a tsp fat free cream cheese and a tiny pice of cut up lox . Or I would add a small potato. Sometimes I would just add a kellogs 100 calorie bar and again I see that the days I do this I always have a loss of lbs plus alot of extra energy.take from this what you want or simply ignore it but I had to share but its been 11 days and Ive lost 11.5 pounds and I must do new measurements because I can see Inches fell off and I already feel it in my clothes.
