Good morning all its been a while since Ive been able to get in here; computer troubles to the tune of $50.00!! fixed now and I am back to just check in and make a post or two every now and again. today id like to reach out to any one who thinks they may be able to help me find homes for a few kitties and possibly the momma kitty. they are all beautiful with unique markings and have been ready to be separated from the mother now for a little bit. they are pretty much strays. the momma kitty gave birth to them at her home but one of the dogs in the home didnt fancy the kitties at all so the momma brought all her kitties over to my house and has kept them here for safe keeping. they have lived under and around my home since about 1 week old. the issue I am having is a new neighbor moved in and shes deathly afraid of the kitties(ridiculously so) I had assured her that they wont harm her when I found her with some of her friends trying to scoop them up in a box at 10;30 at night when they were barely 3 weeks old! I was angry because she came onto my property coaxing the kittens with food and grabbing them into a box while the momma kitty was frantic. I told them if they had a home for the momma and all her kitties I would be happy to help them get them to this place. they informed me that they were going to dispose of them because my neighbor asked them too because they horrify her! of course I did not allow this to happen. so I have been caring for feeding and watching out for these adorable little fellas when I noticed my neighbor had put moth balls all out around and under both her and my house. I asked her why she did that as I pushed the ones on my property back to hers and she said to keep the cats away. I thought nothing of it I actually laughed at what I assumed was her silly attempt to shoo them away. then a few days go by and I do not see all the kitties and when I finally see one of them hes sick. I decided to google effects of moth balls to animals and found out they are highly toxic to kittens cats dogs puppies... I lost my mind I believe. I am so angry at my neighbor I told her I would find homes for these little guys and in the mean time she could just use a squirt bottle with water if shes so afraid to get out of her car when they are out in her front porch or yard! she said I just better hurry the heck up and get rid of them! I called the police because i,m afraid shes trying to kill them and I cannot stop her.the police said I really need to call animal control and possibly she would be fined, so please if anyone has ideas or can help me to relocate this adorable family of kitties please get in touch with me ASAP.
