Good morning all our loved ones. Mike has more of his IVs removed. - TopicsExpress

Good morning all our loved ones. Mike has more of his IVs removed. The doctor was in and said he was very pleased with his progress. Thats doctor speak for hes doing better than anticipated. He is awake and very alert. In a few minutes the nurse (who by the way is very, very good and a real sweetie) will get him up in the chair to eat breakfast. He is in pain, but they are constantly monitoring and adjusting his pain medication. I am amazed at the level of care here at Vanderbilt. They are so far above any of the other hospitals I am familiar with that I honestly have no comparison. Ive seen so many medical miracles these last six months through the efforts of Vanderbilt and the VA, so many lives effected and given a second chance that I am totally awed by Gods mercies. At the expense of just one families grief and their painstaking decision to donate, Michael has a new liver. Someone has a new heart, another has a kidney, another can see again, some one can breathe again. And probably much more than I can imagine. The positive life changing rippling effect of each family and each generation is incalculable. I know in our life alone how it has effected our children and grandchildren, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. I am forever humbled and great full to our donors family. Having said this, I would like to ask you, please think about being a donor. Consider asking just one person to do the same. After all, it just might save another loved ones life or yours. So long for now, much Luv from Mike and I, and God bless.
