Good morning everybody, we start off cold today, with breaks of sunshine, as the first of two low pressure systems ride northeast along the coast. The first one passes east of Nantucket tonight, and the second passes even further east tomorrow morning. Its this second low that will bring blizzard conditions to the eastern half of Maine tomorrow, with over a foot of snow in some places! For Western MA, we will see rain develop at times later this afternoon. If cold air wraps in fast enough, we could see a change to snow tonight for a time, especially higher elevations. The second wave of low pressure and its precip shield looks to stay to our east tomorrow morning, but has to be watched as the storm hasnt fully developed yet. One thing is for sure, is that cold air from Canada will get drawn into this system, and it will blow tomorrow everywhere, especially in eastern MA, where leaves are still on trees, and power outages will occur, along with tree damage. Gusts over 60mph back that way, whereas WMass will gust up to about 40mph. Highs in the 40s both days, and some places in WMass might not hit 40 tomorrow. I can hear the thud of armfuls of wood onto the hearths across the land already :-)
