Good morning, everyone. As of this weekend, Ill be on - TopicsExpress

Good morning, everyone. As of this weekend, Ill be on sabbatical, off the grid, out-of-state, and out-of-reach until mid-October. After my return, Ill be taking time to finally finish the corrections for The Shah of Sunshine and sending the final text out for printing. Ill also be starting the design process for 153 and A Theory of Consonantal Drift, my next two collections, as well as tightening the plot and outline of Hjarrandseddur and maybe getting a couple of hundred more verses done for that last one. I dont plan on being back on Facebook until at least November. As for my sabbatical, theres no easy internet access where Ill be, resting at the end of a very long, unpaved road in a quiet corner of the Santa Fe National Forest, just above the Chama River. There are no cell phone signals there. At night, even access to electricity is limited. If you need to reach me before my departure on Sunday, drop a note in my Message folder and Ill answer if time permits. If it can wait, Ill be checking my e-mail and messages when I return, mid-October, and periodically thereafter throughout the second half of the month. Aside from work in the second half of October, if you know where I work, dont plan on seeing hide-nor-hair of me until at least Halloween but possibly closer to Thanksgiving. But hey, see you then. Have a great month! :) ~~~ As an after-thought, just before posting this, almost on a whim, I checked Youtube, thinking to find a tourist video of the abbey. I found this. Many of the monks in the video are men I consider friends. Brother Rodrigo, Brother Francis, Brother Caecillian, Brother Dunstan. Abbot Philip is someone Im still close to although I havent seen him in five years. We correspond regularly and his weekly notebook entries on the Abbeys webpage form a part of my spiritual inspiration and direction. If youd like to see where Ill be and the people Ill be sharing my time off with, please, feel free to watch the video. When I speak of the last monastery I lived at? This is it. The Abbey of Christ in the Desert, near Abiquiu, New Mexico. You can find me there from this Sunday until the 14th of October.
